Sue writes:
I had asked for prayers for my co-worker's son (Joshua) last week. He is out of intensive care and is home recuperating, however, they still do not know the cause of his symptoms (multiple blood clots in his lungs). He has difficulty breathing, is weak, exhausted and is unable to work. The prognosis is that he can be out of work anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months, depending on how he responds to treatment. To make matters worse, he and his wife have no health insurance and, as they reside in Pennsylvania, they have no short-term disability benefits. His wife doesn't work. They have a 7 month old infant at home.

A few good things are that they live with relatives who will help them out with groceries and his employer will help with utilities. However, they have a car payment, student loans and a credit card bill. (By the way, the doctor who treated him told him that if he had waited two more days before seeking treatment, he would have died.)

I can't imagine facing this kind of situation. Not knowing what kind of medical issue they are dealing with, or for how long, is bad enough...but the finances are the icing on the cake.

Please pray for the entire situation.
